About Me

What a great time for a Big Adventure!  Do you want to come along?  I hope you do!  You will find a place that makes you feel the warmth and love of a family, a place where you can enjoy crafting with Creative Handiworks and Inspired Designs to share, and a place to shop for those Inspired Designs that you fall in love with and that make you sigh, Awww….

My name is KK Crenshaw, better known on these pages as Miss Daisy!

My parents met in Nevada, Missouri, where Momma attended Cottey College.  You will hear more about that legacy in the future.  It has given me the opportunity to help women pursue their educational dreams through the support of P.E.O.s and their educational scholarship programs!  The Cottey alumni have embraced my Momma and Daddy over the years and they have become an integral part of our family’s adventure.  The stories will make you feel warm and inspired.

I am a Marine Brat and have a family legacy with the amazing United States Marine Corps.  As we travel this adventure together, you will laugh and cry at the amazing stories of this proud legacy that is woven throughout my family members.

While my Daddy was off being a Hero, my Momma was providing a wonderful Doris Day kind of world for me and my siblings.  She taught me and my sister all of the crafting and sewing skills that we have enjoyed so much through the years.  She had such an artful eye and that gift was passed on to me.

A church musician by education and vocation – choral conducting and vocal performance – a crafter and maker by passion and aspiration – a business owner of a project management information company because someone once told me I couldn’t succeed.  Twenty four years later, I realized I had beat the odds of a small business staying viable past five years, and I decided to close the doors to pursue my passion and dreams.

Friends and family over the years have encouraged me to share my Creative Handiworks and Inspired Designs on a much broader scope and so here we are on this awfully Big Adventure to do just that!

My fiancée, Mr.C, has graciously joined me in this journey and bought me a CricutMaker and given me the keys to his ManCave, soon to become our Craft Room Miracle!  His belief in my abilities and passion has warmed my heart and put a spring in my step.  What a journey this will be! God is good and has brought me to this happy place from a long life of adventures both happy and sad.

Through it all, I always believed that there was a greater plan and that I just had to hang on.  Mr. C was the dear sweet man to whisper that sentiment over and over while we waited and watched for what God had planned. The signs have become very clear and so here I am…glad to be here with you on this journey in my happy place.
